The alternative therapy of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is part of my selfcare journey and I am so excited to share it with you.
In a nutshell the theory behind EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques, is that you connect the mind and body together by using distinct meridians or pressure points on your body and words. There are different ways or types of EFT so if this is something that interests you, sparks your curiosity, I would encourage you to try out different types and styles, just like I did.

Another way of defining EFT is the combination of Ancient Chinese acupressure and modern day psychology. It really is an alternative therapy that has emerged in the last 30 years or so.

I think the biggest takeaway here is that EFT is a self-help technique and it is free and easy to use!

The 9 Gamut Technique
The 9 Gamut Technique is an additional EFT method that helps rebalance both the emotional and cognitive parts of the brain while you tap. It involves stimulating the gamut point on the back of the hand while moving the eyes, humming, counting, and repeating simple actions that activate different areas of the brain. This combination can help shift stuck energy, calm the nervous system, and deepen the effects of tapping — especially when you're working with more persistent emotions or patterns. EFT in Pregnancy
When I finally became pregnant, after everything it took to get there, I expected to feel nothing but joy. And while there was joy, there was also something I hadn't anticipated: constant anxiety. After such a long journey, every scan, every symptom, every quiet moment felt amplified. It was a beautiful time, but also a deeply conflicting one — full of hope, fear, excitement, and worry all at once.
Looking back, I wish I had known about EFT tapping during that pregnancy. It would have been such a God send for the anxious thoughts, the sleepless nights, and the constant "what ifs" that so many of us carry. That's exactly why I'm so passionate about creating these resources now. Before my pregnancy with my darling boy, I sadly experienced two miscarriages. Those losses were heartbreaking in a way that's hard to put into words.
