If you’ve followed my self-care journey for a while, you’ll know I’m always on the lookout for affordable, effective products that actually work for perimenopausal hair. Between grey oily roots, dryness, and the challenges of over-processed strands, finding a hair dye that ticks all the boxes can feel impossible at times.
That’s why I was really excited to try the new Clairol Pure Brunettes hair dye. In my latest YouTube video, I put it to the test on my own hair to see whether it could deliver:
🌿 Good grey coverage
🌿 A rich brunette colour that looks natural
🌿 Gentle results for fragile, processed hair
Why Clairol Pure Brunettes caught my eye
The promise of a dye that’s formulated specifically for brunettes and designed to give multi-dimensional shine and lasting colour sounded perfect for where my hair is right now. With grey roots creeping in faster these days, I need something that covers well but won’t leave my hair feeling like straw.
My honest review
In the video, I share the before and after results, talk you through the application process, and give my honest thoughts on whether Clairol Pure Brunettes really does what it says on the box. I also chat about how it performs on perimenopausal hair — because our hair has very different needs during this stage of life.
If you’re curious about how Clairol Pure Brunettes works in real life, especially on grey roots and over-processed hair, you can watch my full review here:
